Joanne Piper-Maurer

Board Member

A lifelong learner and musician, Joanne hold degrees from UMD in Piano Pedagogy and William Mitchell College of Law (now Mitchell Hamline School of Law). As a piano teacher she is an adjudicator for piano festivals and formerly managed a busy studio of piano and flute students. She is a retired attorney. In her free time (and since she’s retired, it is all free time!) Joanne is an avid downhill skier, a knitter (so much yarn!), a puzzler and a gluttonous reader. She travels with her husband in their “MeanderVan.” As half of the blues/rock/folk duo Ninety%, she sings and plays the piano, flute, and electric bass. She has lived in Duluth most of her life since moving with her family from Thunder Bay at age nine.
